Inspired by classic tailoring but reimagined for the female form, the WNU Boyfriend and Girlfriend styles combine exquisitely made shirting with a slightly loose fit, for an easy to wear everyday wardrobe staple. The first collection WNU launched were the Poplin shirts, which are seen as true workwear stalwarts making these shirts an essential in anyone’s workwear uniform. 

MATERIALS
What is Poplin and why is it so popular for work shirts? Poplin is a plain-weave cotton with a crisp and smooth finish to touch, which is the perfect material for a smart shirt. The fabric itself is of a durable, medium weight, making it a first choice for men’s and women’s shirts, as it means it has longevity and can be worn time and time again. SOURCING
All of our fabrics are sourced and woven in our factory in Portugal. They are then sent to another family-run factory, also in Portugal, who make our shirts by hand. Both factories have been audited by the team to ensure that they uphold the highest standard of working ethic. Once made, these are then shipped to our Kent-based warehouse where each order is personally packaged for each customer.

STYLING
The contrast element to these poplin shirts means they lend themselves easily to being styled for workdays and weekends. For a Sunday in town, throw the shirt over your favourite blue jeans, pulling a jumper round your shoulders in a knot. Come Monday morning, be meeting ready, tucking your shirt into a pair of belted high waisted trousers and a pair of low heels.
