INTRODUCTION
Inspired by classic menswear styles but reimagined for women, the WNU Boyfriend shirt combines exquisite tailoring with a loose fit, evoking a true feeling of being borrowed from the boys. The first collection WNU launched were the Poplin shirts, which are seen as a true workwear staple and an essential in anyone’s wardrobe. The WNU Boyfriend shirt is designed with a slightly looser fit, sitting just off the shoulders and away from the body. For a true to size fit you should take your usual size, for exaggerated oversized look we suggest sizing up two sizes.
MATERIAL
So, what is Poplin? It is a plain-weave cotton which has a crisp and smooth finish to touch. The fabric itself is of a durable, medium weight, making it a popular choice for men’s and women’s shirts, as it means it has longevity and can be worn time and time again. SOURCING
All of our fabrics are sourced and woven in our factory in Portugal. They are then sent to another family-run factory, also in Portugal, who hand make our shirts. Both factories have been audited to ensure that they uphold the highest standard of working ethic. Once made, these are then shipped to our warehouse in Kent where each order is personally packaged for each customer.
STYLING
The Boyfriend Poplin shirts have been designed with the boardroom in mind, but so that they can also be worn in the bedroom, casually or even at the beach. If yours is for workwear, pair it with a tailored suit for a sharp, clean look or with a cigarette pant if it’s a Friday. For a more casual outfit where you’re running errands but still want to look put together, wear it untucked with some 501 Levis and a classic white trainer.
