THE SHORTS:POPLIN
Inspired by the classic men’s style and - in WNU fashion - adjusted to the female form, these shorts are comfortable to wear and in a flattering fit, making them perfect for everything from lounging to wearing out.
INTRODUCTION
We don’t just borrow shirts from the boys, we also want their shorts. Taking inspiration from classic menswear boxers, WNU has reimagined the style for women, combining our staple tailoring with a loose fit, to create the most flattering and comfortable pair of shorts imagined.
The WNU short is designed to sit just on your waist or hips - whichever is most comfortable! - with a slightly loose cut to the body. As these have been designed to offer a more generous fit, there is no need to order a size up, as your size will already be a relaxed fit.
MATERIAL
Our highest quality, organically sourced cotton Poplin is a plain-weave which has a crisp and smooth finish to touch. The fabric itself is durable and a medium weight making it a popular choice for men’s and women’s shirts as it means it has longevity and can be worn time and time again - so we thought, why not shorts too?

SOURCING
Our Poplin fabric is sourced and woven in our family-run factory in Portugal, before being sent to our other factory in Portugal, to make our shorts by hand. Once the shorts are made, they are then shipped to our UK based warehouse where each order is checked and packaged for each customer. Both factories and our warehouse have been chosen through our auditing process to ensure that they uphold the highest standard of working ethic and ensure a proper wage and working conditions.
STYLING
The Poplin short is the go-to for achieving that cool girl off duty look. Pair the shorts with their matching Poplin shirts, to create a smart casual co-ord, and a pair of loafers for that nod to nonchalant chic that can be worn everyday. Need to switch it up from desk to dinner? Keep the co-ord and swap out the shoes for an elegant strappy sandal, because there is such a thing as too many cocktail dresses at a bar.
