WNU Women - Ella Mills

To celebrate the launch of WNU’s fine poplin collection, Founder & CEO Pip Durell collaborated with renowned fashion stylist and photographer Cathy Kasterine to shoot a portrait series of women who inspire the brand, shot and interviewed in their WNU.

I’m Ella Mills, the founder of Deliciously Ella which is a plant based wellness platform.

Why did you start your business?

I started Deliciously Ella actually as a personal project. I wanted to learn to cook healthy, natural plant based food to help myself regain my health after a very dark year, and in that I accidentally started a business.

How do you wear your WNU?

I wear my With Nothing Underneath literally every day to do everything, number one fan of the brand, but pretty much every day in the office.

What do you wish you'd known before you started?

The one thing I wish I knew before I started is that there are no easy fixes, quick solutions or magic answers. It is gonna be infinitely more difficult but infinitely more rewarding than you could imagine.

Is there one woman in particular who has impacted your career?

The woman that most impacted my career was my Mum, she was the person that really believed in me when everyone else thought I was completely mad.

What is your New Year resolution?

My resolution this year is to find a little bit more balance between motherhood and my career.

What would you have said to your younger self?

To a younger me I would just say honestly keep putting one foot in front of the other. I think it's so easy to feel so emotionally overwhelmed and ride those enormous highs and absolutely catastrophic lows when you’re building a business, but ultimately all you can do is keep going.

What are your goals for 2024?

Learn to ride those highs and lows that are inevitable when building a business with a little more ease.
