Letter from our Founder
Dear WNU Women,
I wanted to send a quick note to talk to you about Black Friday.
It’s a brilliant and crazy ride this WNU journey. Our community continues to grow; some of you are new and others have been following us since the start - quick hi to you guys! - so we thought now was a good time to go over our brand values and explain why we won't be participating in Black Friday and what we have been doing instead, with your help…
The aim of WNU was to make quality shirts, ethically made, with a fair price, all year round. Instead of being led by trends, we focus on creating wardrobe essentials that are sustainably made to stand the test of time. Our retail prices aren’t made with markdown buffers, which is one of the reasons that Black Friday just doesn't make sense for us.
Instead of cutting our prices, we have been cutting down our closets. More specifically, our collection of coats, which we have been gathering to donate to Calling London, a charity that gets coats to the people who need them most in Winter (you can read more about it here). We have been overwhelmed by the response to this campaign and I wanted to thank everyone who has so far donated clothing.
And for every donation, we will be giving you a 10% off voucher. So, whilst WNU won't be running any promotions in the coming weeks, we hope that by giving a little, we can all make a big difference to someone’s warmth this Winter.
Thank you again for all your support.
With love,
Pip x
