The bestselling Weave combines the cool feel of linen with the softness of cotton. From bed to beach, it's all about easy elegance.
INTRODUCTION Introducing WNU’s exclusive and most versatile fabric: The Weave. The love child of our Poplin and Linen collections, this fabric is loosely woven together to create a lightweight, soft shirt that you will want to wear through all the seasons. Whilst taking inspiration from men’s tailoring, our shirts have been perfectly adjusted for women, achieving a look of casual luxury, as if you have thrown the shirt on without any thought. Our boyfriend shirts are characterised by the buttons, which are sewn on the men’s side, and the cut, which sits just off the shoulder and away from the body, creating a slightly looser fit.
MATERIAL This woven linen and cotton fabric makes the Weave the best choice of shirt, if you need it for multiple occasions. It combines the lightweight feel and durability of our Linen with the softness of cotton and crisp lines of our Poplin, making it easy to take the shirt from casual to smart, and season to season. The material is easy to iron for a nice pressed finish, but as it has the linen element woven in, ironing is optional for this shirt too. To compare the Weave to its Linen and Poplin counterparts, take a look at Meet The Materials on our blog Meet The Materials.

SOURCING The factories that weave and sew our shirts are both based in the same town in Portugal and were chosen for WNU as they both hold exemplary working and ethical standards, a core value of WNU. The cotton and linen fabrics are woven together to create our Weave shirts, which are then folded and sent to our warehouse in the UK, who process all of the customer orders.
STYLING The popularity of the Weave is down to its versatility as an item; it epitomises our aim of creating a shirt that can be worn in the boardroom, bedroom and to the beach. In the Summer months, wear your Weave with a pair of cycling shorts and sporty trainers for an easy day-to-day look. In Winter, cosy up by pulling a cable knit sweater over the shirt, or tuck it into cashmere sweatpants. And the months of in between weather? It’s all about layering, start with a roll neck under your shirt and tuck it into a pair of straight leg jeans.
