WNU Wear: Fashion Month Does Shirting

From fashion editors to influencers, shirts were the go-to item when building capsule wardrobes for Fashion Month; and thanks to all of these shirting moments, we now have some serious styling inspo for Spring.

We know Spring can have somewhat temperamental weather, shall we say, but all of these looks feature A LOT of layering elements - have we mentioned we’re pretty keen on layering? - making them perfect for this season. From April showers to grey London days to the odd heatwave where we all strip off to shorts (someone needs to stop us honestly) we will be coveting all of the below trends.

Whether they are the statement piece to an outfit or an easy layer worn to tie everything together, find our favourite street style moments from the streets of Copenhagen, London, Milan, New York and Paris (A.K.A my holiday flight wish list).

Having risen in popularity throughout the pandemic, smart casual is a dress code here to stay. Why do we love it? Because it’s the easiest way to look put together, effortlessly. With a few touches - and a really great shirt - you can change your look from dressed up to dressed down and office appropriate to the bar.

We all owe an apology to the noughties. Previously regarded as a fashion faux pas, the Canadian tuxedo has made a serious comeback. It’s cool. It’s easy. And the more layers of denim you add, the better. I think you have just found your new off-duty look.

It looks like the key styling trend from last summer is here to stay! High saturation hues and colour blocking is in - and the brighter the better. Extra marks if you make the whole look tonal.
(P.S. You may want to keep an eye out for WNU’s summer collection if you are a fan of this one…)
(P.P.S. If you can't wait, then our block colour Linen's would also do the trick)

If you went to a school in Britain you will be very familiar with the concept of school uniform, although did we ever expect to be wearing them again? Somewhere between schools being shut for over a year and the popularity of high school dramas (I mean who wasn’t obsessed with Euphoria), it would appear they are back... Feel inspired? You're going to want a Poplin for this one.

BRB, just going to try and recreate some of these looks to wear into the office.
